The new Erasmus+ project has started successfully. The kick-off meeting was held in Riga, Latvia on October 18-20, 2018.
Turiba University were the hosts of the first project meeting which was attended by all partners: Turisticka i ugostiteljska skola Dubrovnik (Croatia) – coordinator of the project, BIZNESA AUGSTSKOLA TURIBA (Latvia), Ekonomska sola Murska Sobota, Visja strokovna sola (Slovenia), UNIVERSITATEA SAPIENTIA DIN CLUJ NAPOCA (Romania), Fundacja Pro Scientia Publica (Poland), VOŠ, SPŠ a OA Čáslav (Czech Republic).
The meeting started with short presentations of each partner institution and the people involved. The agenda comprised all the significant issues for a kick-off meeting: introducing the general project idea, discussing administrative and financial issues, analysing partners’ responsibilities, etc. Apart from that several workshops were held to make the project work more successful:
- Professor Ineta Luka (Turiba University, Latvia) gave workshops on the EU cultural heritage, on the 21st century skills, on CLIL methodology and blended learning.
- Professor Alexander Kobylarek and MA Patrycja Karpinska (Fundacja Pro Scientia Publica, Poland) gave a workshop on Adult Learning Specifics concerning our target groups.
- Visiting professor – Assist. Professor Sanita Madalane (Latvia) gave a Workshop on Creativity and Design Thinking in Learning.
- Our project partners Erna Voroš and Dejan Petje from Ekonomska sola Murska Sobota, Visja strokovna sola (Slovenia) introduced the initial version of the learning platform created.
By the end of the project meeting we have created the overall idea of the course structure, agreed on common principles for the course content and methodologies, and we are ready to go ahead with creating the modules.
